Replacement Diffuser Membranes — EPDM, Silicone & PTFE
Replacement membranes for disc and tube fine-bubble diffusers. EPDM as standard; silicone for high temperatures; PTFE-coated EPDM where fouling and chemicals are aggressive. Send us your diffuser size (or a photo with measurements) and we confirm the fit before quoting.

Membranes are the wear part of every fine-bubble diffuser: after years in wastewater they stiffen, tear or foul until bubbles turn uneven and blower pressure climbs. Replacing the membrane restores the diffuser at a fraction of the cost of a new unit. Our membranes fit our HNS-DD disc diffusers and HNS-TD tube diffusers, and standard sizes for many other installed diffusers — send a photo and the key measurements and we will confirm the match before you order.
Choose the membrane material
| Material | Choose it when |
|---|---|
| EPDM | Standard municipal and industrial wastewater; the economical default. |
| Silicone | High-temperature wastewater, or where long elasticity life matters most. |
| PTFE-coated EPDM | Greasy, scaling or chemically aggressive wastewater; the coated surface fouls more slowly and cleans more easily. |
Sizes
Disc membranes for 215 / 270 / 350 mm discs (thickness 2 ± 0.1 mm). Tube membranes for 63 / 93 / 113 mm tubes in 500 / 750 / 1,000 mm lengths (thickness 1.8–2.0 mm). Bubble size 0.8–2.0 mm; working temperature 0–80 °C (EPDM). Non-standard sizes can be cut or moulded to order — ask us.
When to replace
Replace membranes when bubbles become uneven across the tank, blower pressure keeps rising at the same air flow, or you can see tears and stiff, shiny patches on the membrane surface. If you are planning a diffuser overhaul, order membranes together with any broken discs or tubes — see our disc diffusers and tube diffusers.
What to send for a quotation
(1) diffuser type (disc or tube) and size, (2) membrane material if known, (3) quantity, (4) a photo of the diffuser if it is not one of ours. We confirm the fit and reply with a quotation.
Not sure whether to clean, re-membrane or replace? Send us photos of your diffusers through our contact page and we will tell you honestly which option makes sense.
